The American Aqua 5-Stage Filtration Process
Our commercial grade water softeners softens the water through an ion exchange process that removes calcium and magnesium from the water and replaces them with soft water particles.
The water then goes through activated carbon filtration that removes contaminants through absorption and preps the water for the next stage of filtration.
After the carbon filtration, the water goes through a three stage reverse osmosis system to demineralize the water by pushing it under high pressure through a semipermeable membrane. Reverse osmosis can remove up to 99%+ of impurities.
Ultra-violet light then further purifies the water to kill any living organisms in the water including bacteria and viruses.
Finally, the water passes through ozone to maintain this high level of purity from the time the water is bottled to the time it is delivered and consumed by thousands of clients throughout Michigan.

Bottled Water Coolers
American Aqua offers two no-spill water cooler models for rent or purchase. Models may vary.
- The Hot and Cold Model – two faucet cooler supplying cold and hot water. The hot water faucet provides water at 180 degrees, for soup, tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate.
- The Cold and Room Temperature Model – two faucet cooler supplying cold and room temperature water. This cooler is great for refreshing cold drinking water and cooking.
